Wynberg Boys High’s rugby first XV, who are sponsored by Mr Price SPORT, head to Grey High School in Port Elizabeth this weekend for the highly anticipated annual clash between two of South Africa’s oldest schools.
 
For Wynberg, unbeaten so far in the WP Premier 2012 season, and with a full house of wins in their pre season tour of Ireland, a win over Grey would fulfill a 33 year ambition.
 
Since Wynberg and Grey first met on the rugby field in the inaugural Cape Schools Week in 1980, Wynberg has yet to record a win over the rugby powerhouse of the Eastern Cape.
 
When the teams run out onto Grey’s Philip Field on Saturday at 3.30pm it will be no understatement to say that the Wynberg team of 2012 carry the dreams and pride of a generation of Wynberg Old Boys to spur them on.
