The Sharks have welcomed the experienced trio of Charl McLeod, Anton Bresler and Louis Ludik back into their starting line-up for Saturday night’s second round Currie Cup clash against the Lions at Mr Price Kings Park.
After being rested last week, McLeod returns in place of Cobus Reinach at scrumhalf, Bresler replaces Jandre Marais in the second row, while fullback Gouws Prinsloo makes way for Ludik.
In the other changes to the victorious team from last weekend, Jacques Botes shifts to No 8 and Tera Mtembu drops to the bench, with up-and-coming flanker Francois Kleinhans receiving his first ever opportunity to start for the Sharks.
Meanwhile, there is just one change to the Lions’ starting line-up from last weekend, former Durbanite Warren Whiteley replacing the injured Derick Minnie at No 8.
It’s sure to be a massive match, which is a repeat of last year’s Currie Cup final, although it is taking place in Durban not Johannesburg.
Both teams are looking like certain title contenders, but victory for the Sharks would mark a superb start to their domestic campaign.
